IGN Gives Mobile Ten a 7 out of 10

Quote:
The Legend of Spyro: Eternal Night is a great-looking mobile game. But unlike Vivendi's previous great-looking mobile side-scroller, Crash of the Titans, Spyro is a good play. The mechanics may feel a bit common to platforming fans, but the entire package is crafted well enough that Spyro fans will get an hour or so of enjoyment out of this download.

Retro Review: Spyro the Dragon

Aren't you glad it's not another atrocious TEN score? PSP Fanboy has awarded Spyro the Dragon - the original game - a 7.5/10. As the game has just been put onto the PlayStation Network, making it playable on PSP and PS3, the title may see a small revival.

Game Zone says Wii TEN is a 6.7/10

Quote:
Even with all of its faults; The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night remains a fun game that will keep you occupied for quite some time. If you are looking for a decent platforming game and can’t wait till Super Mario Galaxy comes out then check this game out.

It seems their main problems with the game are the difficulty level alienates younger players (who used to be Spyro's core fans), the fact you have to re-earn your powers after ANB detracted from the game and the dragon time move was gimmicky and could have been used better.

See for yourself.

Game Daily Rates PS2 Eternal Night 6 out of 10

Quote:
For all of its technical flaws and obvious oversights, The Eternal Night isn't a horrific game, it's just one that seems like it should have come out a long time ago. It's still enjoyable if patience is your particular virtue, and hearing Elijah Wood kick the bucket repeatedly fulfills our inner nerd who thought Frodo whined way too much. Dirty, filthy hobbits, er, we mean dragons.

Charles Zembillas Supports the Spyro Movie

You might be saying "who the heck is Charles Zembillas?!" Well he helped create the original Spyro game trilogy with Insomniac and made many concept sketches of our scaled purple hero. In a new blog post he said he supports the film and hopes for the best.

Quote:
Spyro is scheduled to be released sometime in 2009. Here's to hoping that the script is strong, the production values are high, and the film proves to be as succesful as the video games.

DS Fanboy Gives DS Spyro:TEN a 5/10

Well, I guess it follows the trend. It seems critics are saying the DS version is considered far inferior to its GBA brother, and DS Fanboy would agree.

Quote:
The final verdict: 5.0/10. Maybe this is an unfair rating; after all, between the recent Crash of the Titans and the pure, undiluted awesome of Spyro: The Eternal Night on the GBA, maybe little things became bigger issues than they really were. But as it stands, it's difficult to recommend this Spyro adventure over the GBA version.

Some Clarifying Details for the Spyro Film

While nothing really new Dutch(?) site GBAParty posted some more specific details for the Spyro movie. While you may question the validity as it is in another language, keep in mind a German site accurately spilled all the details on characters and story for The Eternal Night before any site in English did.
