Activision Merges With Vivendi Games
Activision and Vivendi Games have signed to merge with the new company name Activision Blizzard. What's this mean for Spyro? It should mean very little. As Vivendi was only ever publisher they had small influence on the development of Spyro games. Sometimes they have some say, such as when they told Digital Eclipse to "dumb down" Attack of the Rhynocs for GBA. Most of the time, however, the developer is left alone. Krome should be able to finish TLoS 3 with no change in plans. Future Spyro games could be affected. With increased yearly revenue more of that money could go to Spyro for development, or maybe a different developer not previously available to Vivendi will now be able to make Spyro. Who knows, we can only wait and see.
