Some Dad's Are More Strict Than Others
After a nearly glowing review for the GBA version of Eternal Night, GamerDad slammed the Wii version of the title. They gave it 2 out of 5 stars.
Well at least it's not a 3.6, right? Actually it's not much better. However with many much more positive reviews for the game out there, it should be kept in mind that this one was written so parents could decide how much their kids would like it. That doesn't say much about it in my opinion.

| Unfortunately, play control is not very responsive. Double jumps sometimes don't register, and the Wii specific controls that unleash Spyro's fury attacks almost NEVER work. Luckily the developers must've realized the Wii remote controls were bad, and let the players opt to use the Wii Classic Controller instead. But it still isn't much improvement.
Not even a talented voice cast (including Elijah Wood, Billy West, and Gary Oldman) can save Spyro's new game from mediocrity. Fans of the purple dragon should skip the big console versions of Spyro's 3-D adventure and go for the Game Boy Advance Eternal Night game instead. |
